South Sudan win opening game vs Rwanda to advance to next round.
KIGALI (Rwanda) - The opening game was against the hosts who every phase make improvements and a team never to take lightly.
From the jump you could see the focus of South Sudan led by Nuni Omot scoring the first points. The ball movement had everyone on the score sheet with Sunday Dech on his debut leading the troops.
The lead kept growing with players getting more confident taking a 42-25 half-time lead. Opening the 2nd half was the same with points coming from everyone where a Nuni Omot 3-PT shot took the lead to 20 points with 6-mins left in the 3rd Quarter.
However, Rwanda rallied behind their home crowd never giving up and went on a 18-2 run to close the camp to 52-48 going into the final 10-mins.
International debutant Bul Kuol decided to take over knocking down three connectives 3-PT shots to push the lead back to 10-points and South Sudan never looked back.
