SSBF and MTN sign 3-yr sponsorship deal

South Sudan Basketball Federation is delighted to announce MTN South Sudan as the flagship sponsor of the National Team’s for a three-year term.
MTN South Sudan, a subsidiary of the Pan-African technology conglomerate, MTN Group, is the country's largest technology company, providing services in mobile voice, internet and recently, financial services for individuals and businesses.
“MTN’s track record for supporting sports and youth programming speaks to a longstanding commitment to development, and clear alignment with SSBF’s mission of nation building through sport.” said SSBF President, Luol Deng.
“As both a local company and multinational brand, MTN also represents an aspirational example for South Sudan Basketball — achieving excellence locally and abroad”.
The multi-year partnership will include the MTN logo visibly featured on game uniforms, sports image rights for advertising, and local brand activations.
On his part, the Chief Executive of MTN South Sudan, Gordian Kyomukama, expressed MTN's commitment to the youth; the development of sports in South Sudan being one of the ways to fulfil this commitment.
"With this sponsorship, MTN and the SSBF have started a long-term journey that would help to propel the team into the upcoming FIBA World Cup and beyond.” added Kyomukama.

The playing kit of the team would be branded with MTN's new financial services product, Mobile Money from MTN (MoMo from MTN). Speaking on this, Saint Doe-Tamakloe, Chief Commercial Officer of MTN South Sudan noted.
"Associating our new financial services brand with the national team is our expression of confidence in the team and the great things a world class product like Mobile Money from MTN and the national basketball team will achieve together in this partnership for South Sudan."
