In a heartwarming, emotional and exciting return to home-country South Sudan, the Bright Stars and staff led by federation President Luol Deng joined the nation to celebrate the team's qualification to Olympics 2024 and completing the FIBA World Cup as #1 team in Africa.

On return, the Senior Men’s team was received by the general public, led by H.E Dr. Riek Machar, 1st Vice President of the Republic and H.E Mama Rebecca Nyandeng, Vice President of the Republic.

Congratulatory cheers poured in on Juba streets as the team toured the town and made a final stop at the Nimra Talata Stadium to continue celebrations with the South Sudanese people.

The President of the Republic, H.E Salva Kiir Mayardit, hosted the Bright Stars on the final day of homecoming to congratulate the team on achieving history by qualifying for the Olympics 2024 and finishing as the top African team at the FIBA World Cup. The President expressed his pride and admiration for the team's devotion and hard work.
