SSD PRE-OLYMPIC SCHEDULE

The South Sudan Basketball Federation is pleased to share the full schedule of the National Men’s Team activities leading up to the upcoming Olympics in 2024, which will be held in Paris, France.

Training Camp

The Bright Stars assembled in Rwanda’s Capital, and began training camp on July 1st, 2024 at the BK Arena for a period of two weeks. Royal Ivey returned as the team's head coach, and 25 players in total attended the camp.

Pre-Olympic Tournaments in Madrid and London

The team is currently in Madrid, Spain to participate in two friendly matches against Argentina and Portugal on July 15th and 16th. Following these matches, the team will travel to London, where it will make its debut at the O2 Arena against GBB on July 18th, and the USA on July 20th.

SSD will make its Olympics debut in Lille, France on the 28th of July vs Puerto Rico. We look forward to seeing you in Madrid, London and Paris.
