Bright Stars to compete in AfroBasket Qualifiers

The Senior Men's National Team is back in action in SENEGAL!

From November 22 to 24, South Sudan will compete in the AfroBasket Qualifiers held in Dakar. The Bright Stars are set to face Morocco, Mali, and Congo as they make their much-anticipated return to the continental court as Africa’s top-ranked team.

Leading the team will be Luol Deng, President of the South Sudan Basketball Federation, who will take on the role of Head Coach. The roster this tournament features returning players and exciting new additions.

The AfroBasket has played a pivotal role in South Sudan’s basketball journey, nurturing players who were once referred to as underdogs and, more recently, as Olympians. The Federation looks forward to returning to Africa's courts and continuing to develop the game.
