Statement 20-pt win vs Egypt
MONASTIR (Tunisia) - South Sudan go top of Group F with a dominant win against rivals Egypt.
The team was well rested after everyone sharing minutes against Congo DR the night before and it showed coming out with intensity and a fast tempo which startled Egypt. Led by Nuni Omot and Bul Kuol the lead was 24-14 after the first quarter.
Egypt started to settle in the second quarter but the depth of South Sudan showed and took a commanding 46-34 lead at half-time.
The team were on a mission and kept taking it to Egypt who couldn't stop the offense with Sunday Dech hitting key 3-pointers to push the lead to 70-55 heading into the final 10-minutes.
Jackson Makoi started to pile up the points who was causing Egypt all kind of problems which pushed our lead to 20-points and the statement win.
